A billy goat looking for a bride?
It is necessary to dress up a bit for the bride show. Henna or Mehndi or Mehendi is the name for the artistic ornamental body painting with henna originating from north-west India, today's Pakistan. It is used for cosmetic and ritual purposes and has been known since ancient times. It is said to have originated in Persia and spread from there to India, the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa. In India, Persia, the Arab heartlands, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey and Sudan, the bride receives an artistic painting with henna on her hands, possibly forearms and feet for the wedding on henna night. In Kashmir and Sudan, the groom also receives a mehndi, but it is far less magnificent than that of the bride. In Bangladesh, the goats also get it :)
